The following study describes the use of chiropractic care for the treatment of knee osteoarthritis.

A 47 year old female office-worker with eight-month right knee pain, described having difficulty squatting, sitting on a chair for over one hour and climbing stairs.

The patient was treated with conservative chiropractic care twice per week, which included:

  • Joint manipulation – a technique used by Chiropractors to help restore motion in a fixated joint.

In addition the patient had PRP (Plasma Rich Protein) injected by a Naturopathic Doctor.

At the end of a sixteen-week treatment plan the patient reported no pain and 93.75 functionality six months after the injection.
