Group Yoga Instructor

Muscle and Joint Clinic – Mississauga

The Muscle and Joint Clinic is a quality multidisciplinary clinic offering muscle and joint pain solutions to our community.

We are currently seeking a Group Yoga Instructor to offer complimentary in-person and online yogaclasses to our to our community as part of our community outreach program.

A Group Yoga Instructor will be needed for about 2 hours twice per week. Under the supervision of the Clinic Director, The Yoga Instructor will assist with motivating and educating our yoga members.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Deliver the Muscle and Joint Clinic experience to our members and guests in each class.
  • Develop positive relationships with class participants by teaching a variety of challenging and motivating classes.
  • Have the ability to explain, demonstrate and teach techniques at the appropriate level of participation.
  • Provide current music for each class that entertains and motivates while ensuring appropriate language.
  • Tidy and organize studio space after each group yoga class.
  • Assist members with any questions and to refer them to the manager if necessary.
  • Take professional initiative to promote personal training, clinics and all wellness related opportunities.

The instructor must demonstrate professionalism:

  • Keep certifications current
  • Arrive 15 minutes prior to class to assist with setup, registration and organization
  • Start and end class on time as per the schedule
  • Record attendance and report facility/equipment breakdowns
  • Respect all staff and members and follow safe practices
  • Attend professional workshops (if available)

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • Current Standard First Aid & CPR/AED
  • Recognized group fitness certifications (Can Fit Pro, OFC, CSEP, ACE etc.), for traditional classes such as Indoor cycling, Full Body Conditioning, Athletic conditioning and specialty classes such as Barre, Pilates/Pilates Reformer & H.I.I.T
  • Interpersonal communication skills required
  • Ability to work with youth and adults

Experience:

  • 1 + year experience teaching group fitness classes in a private studio setting
  • Personal Training Certification and post secondary education in Fitness, Kinesiology or Physical education an asset.

Position Overview  

The Muscle & Joint Clinic is looking for a professional and quality conscious Clinic Admin who demonstrates a professional image of the Muscle and Joint Clinic brand at all times. The Clinic Admin is responsible for management, administration and reception duties while maximizing patient experiences, by providing outstanding customer service. Furthermore, the Clinic Receptionist will run the day-to-day operations of the clinic.  

Duties and Responsibilities

Patient and Community Relations 

  • Mange reception during business hours (answer phone calls, greet patients and, direct visitors to specific offices)
  • Track leads in CRM, schedule tours via email or phone and follow up to existing leads
  • Create, promote and support a collaborative environment amongst team members through events and community initiatives
  • Resolve simple patient issues with professionalism and patience, bringing complex issues to the owners’ attention for resolution
  • Assist with billing, managing patient files and databases, checking invoices, managing late fees.
  • Managing HCAI, WSIB, MVA files on a continual basis

Marketing and Sales 

  • Engage in and network with clinic and organizations in the local community
  • Assist and manage leads to help answer customer inquiries
  • Help manage social media, web content

Clinic Administration 

  • Assist with managing all clinic operations to ensure highest level of patient satisfaction
  • Troubleshoot printing, internet, phone requests and conduct regular building walkthroughs to ensure cleanliness and safety at all times
  • Ensure the clinic is fully operational and processes are running smoothly
  • Manage and reply to team concerns, and promote a homogenous and proficient work environment. 

General Duties 

  • Manage inventory and ordering consumables, toiletries, coffee and various office supplies
  • Maintain company standards and expectations
  • Work with ownership to prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports that outline community and sales progress
  • Ensure clinic and member safety

Additional information   

  • Hours required are flexible
  • Total hours, approximately 10 hours per week

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements                                                                       

  • Previous experience within customer service
  • Post-secondary education preferred
  • Exhibits strong customer service, interpersonal, organizational, listening and conflict resolution skills
  • Quality conscious, engaging, and customer focused
  • Technologically savvy
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with members and employees as well as individuals external to the organization
  • Available to work some evenings and weekends as required for the purposes of networking and/or event functions
