Study: 13-Minute Weight Training Intervals Can Lead To Muscle Gains

A recent study showed encouraging results for those interested in increasing muscle strength and who are short on time. Thirty-four healthy individuals were randomly assigned to 3 experimental groups, performing a range of exercises over an eight week period. At the end of the eight weeks, muscle strength was evaluated and compared.

The results showed that individuals who worked out just 13-minutes three times a week had a marked increase in strength and endurance. These gains were similar to those individuals that spent a much greater time weight training. This is great news, as it shows muscle strength and endurance can be increased with minimal time commitment.
