A recent randomized control trial in the BMC Sports Sciences, Medicine and Rehabilitation journal showed the benefits of using kinesiotape to help reduce ACL injuries.

The study consisted of randomly applying kinesiotape to 20 study participants. The participants were then asked to perform a drop vertical jump. It was found that the participants who had the kinesiotape applied had a reduced abduction angle, leading to a reduced likelihood of an ACL injury.
