Pancakes – The Right Way!

By Stacey Wong

Once in a while I like to indulge myself in some homemade cinnamon pancake with blueberry syrup 🥞 and today happens to be a Thursday morning, or some of us call it FRIDAY EVE!

So is it bad to have pancake you ask, since it’s “just carbs / sugar”? Well not really, not if you enjoy it and use a few tips below to make it a healthier, more balanced meal.

Pancakes 1
Pancake

– whole wheat flour mixed with all-purpose flour to increase fibre & protein intake

–  used less sugar and added cinnamon to enhance the sweetness and the colour

Blueberry Syrup

– chia seeds to thicken the consistency and boost fibre, omega-3 fatty acid, and antioxidants intake (p.s. also good for those with constipation issues)

Eating well is far away from being on a diet that is void of taste and joy

I don’t normally eat while I work, but the pancakes took a bit longer than my usual breakfast to make – oops!
